Evangelist Dianne Brown has been a part of the church most of her life.  She was the fourth child born to Rev. Chester Newton and his wife Modell.  Rev. Newton was often assigned to build churches in various parts of the  country and because of his service the family lived in numerous cities and  states and travelled extensively. She was baptized in Jesus Name and  received the Holy Ghost in 1977.
As a young girl she was always fascinated by the stories of the missionaries  who often visited the family home while on furlough, it was her dream to  someday travel to distant lands to serve others and spread the gospel. She is  especially grateful for the not too distant experiences of completing two  mission trips thus far.  In 2007 she traveled to the Dominican Republic as a  part of an evangelistic medical missionary team, and in 2013 to Swaziland  in South Africa.
It was from her early exposure to the word of God that Evangelist Dianne  believes her work of being of service to others was born. She began serving  others as a volunteer Candy Stripper at the VA Hospital in New Orleans,  LA. Throughout her life time she held numerous health related jobs, from  working as a Psychiatric Aide for the state of Ohio to a Family Planning  Counselor. She even served as a Psychiatric Technician for the US Army.
Evangelist Dianne is one of the few people at Greater Peace who attended  the church’s first service and since that time has served and continues to  serve in numerous key capacities from the most simple to the most demanding. She has served as Board Member, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Janitor, Drama Team Leader, Praise Team member, Church Treasurer and for 28 years Sunday School Superintendent /Christian Education Director. She was ordained as a minister in 2005.
Evangelist Dianne is the proud wife of Elder Reese Brown, mother of 2 daughters, and stepmother to 2 daughters and 1 son from whom she has 8 grandchildren, who bring her great joy as their “Nana”. She enjoys reading, attending the ballet and live theater performances, studying other cultures and religions, travelling, bird watching, and absolutely loves coming up with creative and fun ways to teach the word of God to children and adults.
